The essence of cognitive rigidity as an opposition of cognitive flexibility and the theory of cognitive flexibility as an important component of the education system is clarified. Abstract
The article presents a synthesized analysis of the work of Western scientists on the theory of cognitive flexibility in the context of actualizingits potential as one of the basic competencies of the future professionals.
