The proposed system uses various sensors to measure and in turn monitor temperature, moisture, humidity and rainfall levels. IoT plays an important role in agriculture. The availability of IoT sensors which provides information about environmental parameters makes it convenient to automate the agricultural activities. For example, turning ON/ OFF the motor automatically based on the soil moisture content. Monitoring environmental factors helps in improving the crop quality. Thus the proposed system AGROIoT assists farmers in monitoring and automating the farming activities. An android application allows the farmer to control environmental parameters from any corner of the world. Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) has gained popularity in various fields like health care, industry, smart city, retail, logistics and even agriculture. Farming is the main occupation of India.
