Abstract

The study developed an electrostatic device designed to protect the surface of solar modules from dust pollution using electron-ion technology. Calculated the effectiveness of the proposed method for preventing the deposition of particles on the surface of solar panels, which showed the effectiveness of cleaning the air masses by electrostatic devices. Recommendations are proposed on changing the design of the device and increasing the natural charge of particles (creating a larger artificial charge) that fall into the device's area of operation due to the use of corona discharge. The developed protective device meets all requirements of regulatory and technical documentation and gives a positive economic effect in an acceptable time frame. This cleaning method, based on electron-ion technology, may be recommended for implementation both at large solar power plants and at private individual solar modules.
