Abstract

Currently, cloud computing is commonly used for the purpose of transmitting and storing data collected from various IoT devices to the cloud through a network, and providing services that create new values through big data analysis. However, in recent years, the need for distributed computing processing using edge computing is increasing in order to compensate for data processing speed delays and data security vulnerabilities caused by data processing overload that is concentrated in the cloud. In this paper, we intend to conduct a study on the microservice architecture design that can manage profile information for various IoT devices and support AI inference model operation by utilizing the open source-based EdgeX framework designed for use in edge computing.
