Abstract

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a hematopoietic stem cell disorder characterized by a block in differentiation of hematopoiesis, resulting in growth of a clonal population of neoplastic cells or blasts. Chemotherapeutics leads to side effects. To minimize potential toxicities and to maximize the optimal quality of life, nurse can assist the patient by providing instructions and making the care provider equipped with knowledge.
