Abstract
In this paper, the subsynchronous resonance (SSR) is investigated using LabViewand Matlab/Simulink based on the Simscape Power Systems tool. The simulation model in this paper is designed to identify, characterize and mitigate low frequency oscillations in power systems. The results obtained verify the effect of series compensation level on subsynchronous frequencies.
