Thus, a Modified Smith Predictor is proposed to address the delayed feedback by having an inner plant model to predict the path during the delay. Furthermore, an online system identification scheme is proposed to improve the accuracy of the model used in Modified Smith Predictor. Abstract
This paper presents a model-based control algorithm to address the delayed feedback that occurs in a novel two dimensional positioning system.
