Abstract
The digital watermarking is investigated firstly. Some general approaches of binary image digital watermarking algorithm are then analyzed in detail. A blind binary image digital watermarking algorithm is proposed in the DCT domain. The correlativity of the inter-blocks' DC components is used to embed and extract the watermark. No original binary image is needed when detecting the watermark. The involved parameters are analyzed in detail. Some tests are performed on the logo image, Chinese characters image and English characters image and the results show that the algorithm can be applied to binary images in general and can provide robustness against common image processing. Comparison with its spatial counterpart is made and the advantage of the proposed algorithm in DCT domain is demonstrated.
