Abstract

The Glide Path(GP) is an important navigation device that guides the landing of the aircraft. Due to the working principle and of the Glide Path antenna itself, the protection of the Glide Path protection area is very important. In this paper, we study the effect of the presence of a small group of buildings in the protection area of the Glide Path antenna on the ILS signal, and analyze the changes in the path structure of the Glide Path through 3D modeling simulation, the simulation results are in high agreement with the actual flight inspection results, and the appropriate reduction of the building height will have some improvement on the path structure.
