Abstract

UN/CEFACT's modeling methodology (UMM) is used to develop business collaboration models independent of the IT-platform. The information being exchanged is modeled by class diagrams. It is expected that later on these class diagrams are mapped to business document standards. Since it is hard to predict which standards will be dominant in the future, we do not propose direct mappings from UMM business information class diagrams to the specific business document languages.
