Abstract

This letter proposes an active coding-feeding metasurface based on PIN diodes which achieves incidence polarization conversion and radiation manipulation simultaneously. The topological structure of metasurface is designed and its different performances are invested by numerical simulation. The simulation demonstrates that the metasurface can realize polarization conversation at 5.93-6.41 GHz and reflection at 5.93-6.55GHz like a metal plate by switching PIN diodes state and radiate efficiently at 7.27- 7.56GHz and 8.16-8.51GHz. The multifunctional active metasurface will have potential application in radio communication systems.
