Abstract

The possibility of applying the partial region method to investigate a cylindrical structures with inhomogeneous dielectric filling and a complex cross-sectional shape are presented in this paper. To improve the convergence of the method and to increase the speed of calculating the algorithm at the interface, we used functions that take into account the behavior of the electromagnetic field near metal ridges. The research is carried out to compute the electromagnetic waves propagation constants in a circular waveguide and an analysis is carried out to investigate the dependence of the electrodynamic characteristics on various values of dielectric constant and geometric dimensions.
