Abstract

Andy Warhol, the artist known as the "king of consumption", has reached his peak in popularity and influence in the second half of the 20th century. Through a series of artistic expressions of anticonnotation, breaking away meaning and removing value, his works have caused deep impact and subversion of modern aesthetic moral principles. This coincides with Nietzsche's philosophical proposition in "The Birth of Tragedy", because he saw through the "illusion" of art.
