Abstract

The present paper is dedicated to systemic botany and proposes a more objective morphological classification of Gentianaceae plant family into species and genera using the fractal theory. A collection of 19 Romanian species are collected from the herbarium of Botanical Garden, Cluj-Napoca. The research is conducted on the study of the three genera: Gentiana, Gentianella and Gentianopsis, which were previously tagged into a single genre.
