Abstract
This paper reviews the development of an electronics environmental benefit calculator (EEBC) that allows institutional purchasers and the federal government to quantify the benefits of purchasing products registered under the Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT) program and of improving the operation and end-of-life management of computers.
