Abstract

The in-plane problem relating to the elastodynamic response of edge crack in an infinitely long elastic strip is analyzed. Fourier transform is used to reduce the mixed boundary value problem to Fredholm integral equation of second kind which was solved numerically to calculate the stress intensity factor at the tip of the crack.
