Abstract
The positive effects of Baduanjin on human body shape, physiological function and mental health have been widely confirmed, but the characteristics of the positive effects on the central nervous system are not clear. Therefore, this paper aims to explore the effects of Baduanjin training on frontal alpha asymmetry ( FAA). Nineteen subjects were included in the study, including 10 male college students without any Baduanjin or martial arts practice experience, who were classified as the control group. There were 9 male college students who had more than two years' experience in Baduanjin. German ANTNeuro equipment was used to collect EEG signals in the resting state and Baduanjin task. MATLAB was used to extract the power values of all the subjects' brain bands and calculate the corresponding FAA. SPSS18.0 was used for statistical analysis. After acute Baduanjin exercise, resting state FAA remained unchanged. Compared with the control group, the degree of FAA in the resting state was higher in Baduanjin group. Acute Baduanjin exercise has no obvious effect on emotion regulation ability. Long-term practice of Baduanjin can improve the emotional regulation ability of human body to a certain extent.
