An inferential statistics of Chi-square was used in testing the hypotheses and the result of the study showed that modern technological advancement especially, addiction to social media on the internet has a great effect on students’ academic performance. Abstract

Abstract The study investigated the effects of social habits and girl-child marriage on students’ academic performance in social studies.
