Also, the proposed scheduling algorithm which we call Modified-Earliest Due Date (M-EDD), achieves higher bitrate for the RT applications. Abstract

In this paper we introduce and asses the performance of a new scheduling algorithm based on Earliest Due Date (EDD) mechanism. Our proposed scheduling algorithm enhances the performance of Real-Time (RT) flows such as video and Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) in Long Term Evolution (LTE) cellular networks especially in downlink.
