Abstract
Back-to-back connected thyristors employing ON-OPP control can be used for speed control of three-phase induction motor. Due to the nature of control the operation includes transients in all operating conditions. The basic mathematical model of the machine has been modified for different modes of operations and starting and steady-state transients has been studied on a digital computer.
