Abstract

This study aims to discuss the architecture, setup and inspection techniques of optical fiber network systems in Taiwan. The common optical fiber network system architecture and the setup of passive optical network (PON), active optical network (AON), synchronous digital hierarchy (SDH), and reconfigurable optical add drop multiplexer (ROADM) are first introduced in details.
