Abstract
The paper discusses the defects of traditional training modes of transformer substations, presents the necessity of building a virtualreality-based (VR-based) 3D visual simulation training system of transformer substation. Then, it summarizes the VR technology in transformer substations and average methods in establishing 3D simulation models, and analyzes the common problems in establishment and the real effect after modeling.
