Relações de trabalho, gênero e geração das jovens camponesas em assentamentos de reforma agrária

Abstract

This article analyzes the insertion of young peasants in the work of the field, focusing on the issue of gender and generation. For this analysis, reference is made to a survey carried out in an agrarian reform settlement in the State of Parana, with young people between 14 and 20 years of age. Through the methodology of the life history and the focus group, we sought to understand the life trajectory of peasant youth, especially the young women, and the gender relations they establish in the context of family work. It argues that gender and generation hierarchies, supported by patriarchal gender regimes, are questioned and / or subverted by the rural youth when they have access to schooling, understanding gender inequalities, and participate in social movements (for land, youth, women) that allow the construction of new practices and discourses, re-signifying the social place of the young peasant.
