Abstract

An accurate model is developed to predict the shielding effectiveness of enclosures with aperture arrays. The impedance of the aperture array is expressed as a function of the spacing between apertures, the diameter of apertures, the incident angle, and the thickness of the perforated plate. The model outperforms the traditional models in that it can consider the thickness of the perforated plate, the spacing between apertures, the mutual coupling between apertures, the incident angle, and the polarization angle at the same time.
