Abstract
Based on precise examples, this study examines Guy Davenport's skilful handling of conventional literary forms. Far from simply juxtaposing genres, he interweaves them, shapes them, assembles them so that in their interaction and final osmosis, they focus the reader's attention on those strategies that are most characteristic of Guy Davenport's work.
