Abstract

In this first of three parts, operational parameters (power consumption with and without aeration, aeration number, oxygen volumetric transfer coefficient and hold up) of the system used are presented, together with graphs and tables to show the relation between these parameters and controlable operating variables. Later the values here presented will be correlated with KLa determined by SOM, the kinetics of oxygen transfer in yeast cultures.
