Abstract
It is of special importance for the scientific world to establish models for global competitiveness for emerging countries so that managers can manage their companies outside the paradigms that have been adopted for decades. Ecuador has not very encouraging competitiveness results: it is ranked 99 out of 131 countries in innovation and in the ranking 130 out of 141 in business dynamism, which is related to a business culture to accept change and risk, along with the ability to execute ideas innovative. This research is framed in the descriptive and explanatory type through a complete statistical analysis; In addition, a documentary review of the main concepts of purpose, learning and training of people is carried out; and, elements of the organizational culture and strategy such as innovation, creativity, technology and resources of Industry 4.0. The results show that only 42.4% of the organizations surveyed have a long-term purpose, 48% of the managers believe that people are not essential for the development of the strategy, 26.8% of the companies use the driver innovation and only 4% are considering artificial intelligence as a critical assumption for the future. As a consequence, to increase the dynamism in the businesses of the companies, the design of a model in stages is proposed, taking into account the impact of each of the variables and their correct location to achieve competitiveness.
