Considering the higher accuracy as more significant parameter compared to the material efficiency, the high speed milling was selected as most appropriate for the femoral stem manufacturing. In order to validate the NC programs, a sample of the femoral stem was produced. From the validation it can be concluded that the NC programs is adequate and adapted the possibilities and the working area of the machine. Abstract
