Abstract
A brief analysis of the number of tractors needed in agriculture of the Russian Federation and the prospects for the development of tractors both aggregately and constructively is carried out. The types of fuel used in order to achieve economic and technological independence of the country in the conditions of a difficult foreign policy are considered.
