Abstract
Based on an analysis of existing choppers and grinders, the most promising direction in the development of a technical device with a tool of hammer-segment type was chosen. Analytical dependencies have been derived, which at the design stage make it possible to determine energy intensity, linear speed, and the number of rows of hammers.
