Abstract

Summing up the above results, we may say that the differentiation of cells is a continuous function and proceeds together with the growth of the animal, but, probably it does not involve all fibers at the same time. It also depends on the type of bulb the fiber grows out of, and on the time of the fiber's growth. The results obtained may be treated as preliminary. The extension of the investigations must take into consideration the differences in fiber diameter.
