Abstract

Two models for the modification of hadronic properties in nuclei are described. Both predict an increase in nucleon radius inside nuclear matter, and hence ‘‘explain’’ the EMC effect. The preferred model, derived from a flux tube model, provides a straightforward method for calculating properties of nuclear matter.
