The author states that before the lockdown 2020 distance training in higher educational institutions of Ukraine was regarded as the extramural or individual one. The article defines distance training as education at the distance, with when both teacher and student are far from each other, the education including application of e-resources in the e-educational environment, information-communication distance training system and the distance training technologies. The author shows that the distance training of medical students is equal to the offline studies. The author describes all kinds of the medical studentstraining: lectures, practical classes, consultations and control classes, regarding the peculiarities of medical education as well as the personal experience of the author of teaching in O.Bogomolets National medical university. The article reveals the main advantages of the distance training of medical students: accurate time management, study room management, higher flexibility of teachers and medical students.
