Abstract

This work presents a novel photovoltaic (PV) system on intelligent glass curtain. The PV system with an intelligent maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithm can accurately track the maximum power point of PV panel and continuously supplies maximum power. The intelligent MPPT algorithm based on the interval type-2 fuzzy logic control (IT2FLC) is implemented to track the maximum power point under fixed and varying weather conditions. Experimental results indicate that the proposed the intelligent MPPT method successfully increases the conversion efficiency of the PV systems by 99.2% over that achieved using the incremental conductance (INC) method.
