Flexible top-view human pose estimation for detection system via CNN 基于CNN的检测系统的灵活俯视图人体姿态估计

We propose the DeepPose-based pose estimation system that is flexible with the change of bounding-box range for top-view images. Our purpose is to link person detection system and pose estimation system. We introduce Bounding-box Curriculum Learning (BCL) and Recurrent Pose Estimation (RPE). BCL is a learning technique of CNN inspired from Curriculum Learning. RPE is a recurrent process of pose estimation that fixes the bounding-box range in response to the estimated results. We show the effect of proposed methods compared to normal learned CNN-based pose estimator on our original top-view dataset.

Pedestrian navigation based on landmark recognition using glass-type wearable devices 基于地标识别的眼镜式可穿戴设备行人导航

In this paper, we propose a pedestrian navigation system based on landmark recognition. Our proposed system utilizes a glass-type wearable device and gives a correspondence between a map and a real-world landscape. By recognizing a landmark position effectively, a pedestrian can easily know where to turn at each turning position and hence he/she can reach his/her goal without losing his/her way. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed system can increase the landmarks which pedestrians can recognize and thus gives comprehensive navigation effectively.

High power factor boost PFC controller with feedforward adaptive on-time control 具有前馈自适应实时控制的高功率因数升压PFC控制器

This paper proposed a boost power factor correction (PFC) controller with feedforward adaptive on-time control designed and fabricated using TSMC 2P4M 0.35μm CMOS process. With feedforward adaptive on-time control the proposed controller can reduce total harmonic distortion (THD) in wide input range by detecting input voltage and adjust the on-time of boost power stage. To achieve high efficiency, the proposed PFC is operated under boundary conduction mode (BCM). The experimental results shows that the proposed PFC can operate at an input line voltage from 90 to 264 Vrms, 400V output voltage and output power from 8 to 80 W. The off-chip inductor and output capacitor are 500 μH and 47 μF, respectively. The maximum efficiency is 95%, the maximum power factor is higher than 0.999 and 8% THD.

A safe and comprehensive route finding method for pedestrian based on lighting and landmark 一种基于照明和地标的行人安全综合寻路方法

This paper proposes a safe and comprehensive route finding method for pedestrians. We evaluate five factors that do relieve pedestrians' fear of darkness. Based upon the evaluation, we propose a comprehensive route finding method by taking road width and reduction on turning points into consideration. The experimental results on real outdoor environments under different lighting situations confirm that the proposed method can obtain safety and comprehensive routes for pedestrians.

FinFET-based TCAMs with matchline-accelerating sense amplifiers 带匹配线加速感测放大器的基于finfet的tcam

This paper presents the design of a low-power FinFET-based TCAM, which employs the proposed matchline-accelerating sense amplifiers (MLA-SA) to reduce both matchline voltage swing and searchline activity, resulting in lower power consumption. We have performed HSPICE simulations using Berkeley BSIM-CMG FinFET models to measure the performance of FinFET TCAM for three kinds of matchline sensing schemes: the traditional precharge-HIGH scheme, the CR-MLSA scheme, and the proposed MLA-SA scheme. Compared with the precharge-HIGH scheme and the CR-MLSA scheme, a FinFET-based TCAM employing the MLA-SA scheme can reduce power dissipation by 39-64% and 25-62%, respectively.

Comprehensive deformed map generation for wristwatch-type wearable devices based on landmark-based partitioning 基于地标划分的腕表型可穿戴设备综合变形地图生成

Recently, wristwatch-type wearable devices are developed and geographic information services have become widely available on them. In this paper, we propose a comprehensive deformed map generation algorithm for wristwatch-type wearable devices. Our algorithm first normalizes a pedestrian route to 0°, 45°, or 90° so that the pedestrian can see the route not tilting the wristwatch-type wearable device on his/her wrist. Second, our algorithm partitions the normalized map so that several landmarks are overlapped in the partitioned sub-maps. Hence the sub-maps can be largely displayed on wristwatch-type wearable devices and the pedestrian can recognize his/her location even when the sub-maps displayed are changed. Experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of our deformed map generation algorithm on wristwatch-type wearable devices.

This work presents a novel photovoltaic (PV) system on intelligent glass curtain. The PV system with an intelligent maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithm can accurately track the maximum power point of PV panel and continuously supplies maximum power. The intelligent MPPT algorithm based on the interval type-2 fuzzy logic control (IT2FLC) is implemented to track the maximum power point under fixed and varying weather conditions. Experimental results indicate that the proposed the intelligent MPPT method successfully increases the conversion efficiency of the PV systems by 99.2% over that achieved using the incremental conductance (INC) method.

Stability improvement of delta-sigma modulator by sliding mode control theory 用滑模控制理论改进δ - σ调制器的稳定性

A delta-sigma modulator is one of systems used for an analog-to-digital converter. It is known that high signal-to-noise ratio will be obtained by making a high-order loop filter of the delta-sigma modulator. However, when input amplitude becomes large, a problem that the system becomes unstable occurs. As measures of the problem, the authors applied the sliding mode control theory to a delta-sigma modulator. A stability of a delta-sigma modulator improved without dropping signal-to-noise ratio by designing a switching hyperplane and a sliding mode controller. The effectiveness of the proposed method is confirmed by computer simulations.

Analysis of fill-in-blank problem solution results in Java programming course Java编程课程填空题解题结果分析

For advancing the educational quality of Java programming, we have proposed and implemented the Java Programming Learning Assistant System (JPLAS) as a Web application system. JPLAS offers fill-in-blank problems that request students to fill in the blank elements in a given Java code to study Java grammar and basic programming skills. In past years, we have utilized fill-in-blank problems at our Java programming courses. In this paper, we analyze solution results of students taking the course in 2015, and confirm the relatively high correlation between solution performances and course grades.

A quadruple-sampling second-order delta-sigma modulator 四倍采样二阶δ - σ调制器

In this paper, a 1.8-V 3-bit quadruple-sampling delta-sigma modulator for audio application is presented. To performance high-resolution and low-cost modulator, a single opamp is used to complete the integration with four phases. Since the phase difference between any two succeeding clocks is 90 degrees, the sampling rate will be four times of clock frequency. The effective integration time can also be increased, and thus relaxing the requirements of opamp. From the simulation results, the proposed modulator achieves a peak SNDR of 104.5 dB for 20-kHz signal bandwidth under 1.8-V supply voltage and 2.56 MHz clock rate.
