Abstract

For traditional piezoelectric energy harvesters, the harvested power is very low in the non-resonant frequency. In order to solve the problem, a new active piezoelectric energy harvester is designed. On the basis of impedance matching, an adaptive active piezoelectric energy harvesting technology is presented. By monitoring the information of external vibration force and output power, an implementation method of the optimal control voltage is described in detail. Finally, the experimental platform of the active piezoelectric energy harvester is built. Experimental results show that it can significantly improve harvested power in the broadband. Therefore, the active piezoelectric energy harvester can be used in the energy supply field for MEMS, WSN and embedded systems.
