The research also aims to analyze the Egyptian legislation to protect data privacy, considering the legislation from which it was derived, which is the European Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Approach: The deductive, comparative, and applied approach. Results: The legislative deficiencies so far to fully protect individuals on the Internet. Recommendations: developing and modernizing the current legal legislation, if it does not conflict with the teachings of Islamic Sharia, which pays attention to the rights of the individual and society without violating one over the other.
