The Objective of the Research: Explain the extent of protection bestowed by the internal legislation on the privacy of individuals' information in light of the technological progress and the informational age, since that privacy is a consequence of one of the basic constitutional rights, which is the right to private life; This is what called on countries to pay attention to that right, and to issue legislations to protect it, provided that there is a balance between the right of individuals to protect their privacy, and ensuring that society's right to its security and safety is preserved, and taking into account the principles of necessity and proportionality in the event of an infringement on the privacy of the individual. The research also aims to analyze the Egyptian legislation to protect data privacy, considering the legislation from which it was derived, which is the European Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Approach: The deductive, comparative, and applied approach. Results: The legislative deficiencies so far to fully protect individuals on the Internet. Recommendations: developing and modernizing the current legal legislation, if it does not conflict with the teachings of Islamic Sharia, which pays attention to the rights of the individual and society without violating one over the other. Play an important role in raising the level of security awareness of citizens, and that they have a role in protecting their personal data, and the procedures to be followed in the event of its breach, through the Personal Data Protection Center established by the state.
