Abstract

In recent years the transmission of haptic information over the Internet (including kinesthetic and tactile information), the tactile Internet and the teleoperation systems have become increasingly researched topics. The basic requirements for a tactile Internet based teleoperation system are the latency, reliability, availability and security. In order to have early detection of failures, there is a need to have a technical solution that constantly monitor events to make sure that the system is running properly. This article examines the role of the monitoring system in the structure of a tactile information transmission and visualization system.
