Abstract

The authors have developed a series of axial three-input generator units for hybrid energy systems. These units may convert kinetic wind energy, solar energy, and thermal energy of any heat source into electric power. There are techniques for designing radial electric machines and determining their basic dimensions, but none for axial ones. This analysis allows choosing the basic dimensions of axial generator units designed considering the requirements for their weight-size and energy parameters.
