Abstract

The paper discusses current situation in engineering education and tries to find answers to the questions why science, technology, engineering and mathematics are not so attractive for young people. We present several examples of good practice that show how to involve even school children in experimenting with technology. Then we propose changes to the way of teaching and to the content of curricula that will reflect the requirements of coming changes in the industry and society.
