In this paper, a Vivaldi antenna is designed for use in hyperthermia treatment as well microwave imaging. The focus is related to treatment and imaging of tumors in the human brain. The structure is optimized to obtain suitable gain and bandwidth while minimizing the size. Several parameters are investigated including the return-loss and radiation patterns.
