The article states that today the full-scale invasion of Russia on the territory of Ukraine, a large number of internally displaced persons, people who have lost their homes and means of livelihood, an increase in the number of people with disabilities as a result of military operations requires quick and effective solutions from the social protection system, therefore it is proposed to analyze the system of social protection of the population abroad in order to identify positive practices for application in national legislation. The current situation that has developed in the social protection system in Ukraine as a result of military actions requires new and rapid transformations, in particular, the formation of new legislation on simplifying the system of providing benefits and additional payments to persons who find themselves in difficult life situations, solving the issue of forming digital databases on persons , who are entitled to certain types of benefits, where the data would be correlated with the data of other registers, so that the right and amount of such benefits can be automatically determined, etc. The author analyzed the foreign experience of the system of public management of social protection of the population and indicated that each country, taking into account historical development and national characteristics, has its own systems of social protection, at the same time, they are all based on the support of needy people, people with disabilities and the elderly, as well as people who found themselves in difficult life situations.
