The major of broadcasting and hosting is the major of cultivating TV presenters and announcers. The existence of TV announcers and presenters is to give better play to the broadcasting function of broadcast and television, to improve the efficiency of communication and to enhance the effect of communication. The body class that belongs to this major is different from the body class of majors such as broadcast host and performance. It should focus on improving students' aesthetic taste for body art, and its fundamental purpose is to enhance students' ability to feel, express, create and apply their own body language. Let students form good manners and manners, so that they can accurately and vividly express emotions and convey information after they appear on the camera, thereby optimizing the effect of communication. On the other hand, it also undertakes the task of enhancing students' physical fitness and prolonging their career life in the future. This article aims to study the IOT-based multimedia teaching curriculum reform and application ability training of the broadcast host professional body training. Through literature research and questionnaire surveys, the current situation of the broadcast host professional and the students' cognition of the broadcast host are carried out experimental research. The problems in the broadcasting and hosting major put forward a reform plan for the course content. Experimental research shows that the students of the broadcasting hosting major do not have a high level of awareness of the broadcasting and hosting, and only stay on the surface.
