Abstract
During the oil loading and unloading process, volatile organic components (VOCs) will be greatly vaporized and escape, resulting in environmental pollution and product loss. Oil vapor control refers to the collection of volatile oil and gas during the process of oil loading and unloading, through one or two methods of absorption, adsorption or condensation. It could change oil and gas from gaseous to liquid and become oil again, so that it can be recycled. This paper collects the international conventions, laws, regulations and standards related to oil vapor control of ports and docks at home and abroad. And we organize the current status of oil vapor control technology of ships in China’s port and terminals, analyze the existing problems and propose the future development directions respectively. At present, oil vapor control related work of ships is still in its infancy in China, and technical standards and related norms are still not perfect. The research results of this paper will provide technical support for the implementation of the “Atmosphere Ten” and the “Special Action Plan” of the Ministry of Transport. And it is of great significance for standardized management of ship oil vapor control operations and prevent safety risks, secondary pollution and other issues.
