Abstract
It is shown that the hypergraph generated by a hexagonal system is conformal if and only if the hexagonal system is catacondensed. Also, it is shown that the chromatic index of the hypergraph generated by a catacondensed hexagonal system is five. Finally, a formula for the covering number of the hypergraph generated by a catacondensed hexagonal system is given.
