Abstract
Features of heterogeneous dynamic systems, an important class of models employed in different engineering areas, are considered. The classification of events in hybrid dynamical systems is expanded on. The family of complex event detection algorithms is introduced. Requirements to modeling and simulation environments supporting heterogeneous dynamic systems are given.
