[In horse-and-buggy times newspapers and other journals were wont to stir up summer's torpid calm by sea-serpent tales. In these days of swiftly managed reports Warm Springs and Washington stir sedately academic and just commonly sluggish suprarenal glands into vindictively emotional action by other means. For this disease of modern childhood perhaps the fabled unicorn may justly be used as a counterirritant.
