Abstract

This paper proposes a new bio-inspired Salp Swarm Algorithm (SSA) to solve the Economic Load Dispatch (ELD) problem considering valve point loading effect. The main inspiration of SSA is the swarming behavior of salps when navigating and foraging in oceans.
