Abstract

This article discusses the main results of a phase noise measurement of the microwave voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) with a linearized wideband tuning characteristic. In the experiments the characteristics of VCO, tuned in bandwidth of 6 to 12 GHz, with an active diode converter connected to the control input of the oscillator were investigated. The control voltage converter is implemented on a low-noise amplifier and five Schottky diodes HSMS-281x.
